This time last year I weighed in at over 21 stone. I struggled to walk up a flight of stairs without becoming out of breath and I did, as you can imagine, zero exercise. After my wife told me she now didn't find me sexually attractive - what took her so long to say this!!! - I decided to enrole at my local weight watchers. I didn't have high hopes to be honest.

Now 12 months on I'm now 13 stone and I exercise everyday!! I dropped my old job as a travelling salesman and became a postman. So if anyone is thinking of joing a slimming club I recommend Weight Watchers. They gave me the support and help I needed while also helping to re-educate my bad eating habits. To be totally honest the weekly weigh in I think is something Weight Watchers and other slimming clubs should knock on the head ... richual humiliation isn't the best way to motivate me.

Well done Tel,

I agree about the weigh in, totally. I have a number of clients who have used various types of slimmig clubs. The vast majority of those have found the weigh in to be a source of anxiety.

In fact when i am working with clients to try to get their body fat down, that is what we use as a measure. Body Fat, rather than weight. This is much more accurate in terms of giving you a true idea of what your body composition is.
