I'm currently on something called the TNT diet. It is a diet pioneered in the USA and it basically goes something like this.

Option 1: Need to lose a little body fat?

Eat only 10 g of carbs each meal.
Load up on protein
Eat fats.

Thinks the Atkins Diet

Option 2: Build muscle

Same as a bove but before and after your workout eat more carbs

Option 3: Relaoding

Same as option 2 but twice a week have carb days to reload the body with excessable carbohydrates.

Now, the problem is, I'm in the middle of Option 1 and it's 23rd December. What should I do? eating 10g or carbs per meal over Xmas isn't realistic. I imagine every spoonful I eat will have more than that amount of sugars.

Advice more then welcome.

My God! That diet sounds a killer. How the hell do you have the energy to workout on that diet?

That doesn't look a bad diet - but it's a bit vague! It doesn't tell you how many grams of protein or fats you should be consuming, whether you should be eating 5-6 meals a day etc. In principle not bad, but I need to see some more info first!

Hi Mark,

The TNT diet is something I read about in Men's Health. The idea is based on a diet revolving around your training.

Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and 3 snacks - pre exercise / post exercise and a protein rich supper.

Does that help?

Sounds like quite a decent plan actually. Generally people eat too many carbs. Carbs are really only a source of energy, and with many people being pretty sedentary, additional carbs wont be burned and will turn to fat.

Therefore eating them before and after workouts will benefit the workout and your recovery afterwards.

Your initial question is now not relevant as we're past Xmas, but yeah I would say it's looks a good plan to run with.
Just ensure your fats are from a good natural source e.g nuts, avacado, olive oil, coconut etc etc.

Good luck!
