| Allison Swan started her business 'Pilates Matwork' in 1992 with two classes at the Royal Free Hospital Recreation Club, and for many years was one of a few teachers who ran matwork only classes. Group classes are now held in centres in North and Central London.
And the one year matwork teacher training courses for Pilatesfoundation UK, are regularly held in Barnet General Hospital
