Client testimonials
I cannot recommend Joanne highly enough... Joanne is a miracle worker! She met me in January 2008 as an overweight, unfit 51 year old with a place in the London Marathon which I’d been applying for over 6 years. Her challenge was to get me round the course. It was clear from the start that she thought it was a tall order but possible. She was tough and very encouraging, did part or all, of my entire long weekly runs with me and we did it! I completed in 6 hours 45 minutes, raised £5000 for Maytree Sanctuary for the suicidal with no worse injury than 2 small blisters. I cannot recommend Joanne highly enough. She’s a pleasure to work with and helps you achieve your objectives. Belinda Kent-Lemon, HR Manager - Do call if you want a verbal reference 07976447263

Getting up in the morning is no longer a chore...
I started training with Jo 2 years ago to get my fitness levels up to run a 10km race for charity, as well as improve my overall tone for my wedding. Jo's a great motivator, and I really look forward to the sessions, mainly because of the variety she offers. In addition to the usual running intervals and jogging in the park, she has also taught me boxing (so good for the arms), skipping, resistance training and fartlek. I have also benefited from sports massage, which has helped me to relax and prevent any potential injuries.

Jo is particularly good at getting me to challenge myself, as otherwise I'm rather lazy and will stick to what I know. She is direct and honest in her feedback, so I always know how well I am doing and what areas I need to focus on to improve. Overall I feel really good and much less tired - getting up in the morning is no longer a chore. I'd highly recommend Jo's fun no-nonsense approach!
Lucy Gotellier, Sky Talk Project Manager

I certainly couldn't have done it without her... In a rather rash moment last year, I decided to run the London marathon. I was well over forty, somewhat fatter than in my prime (having put on weight during treatment for cancer five years ago) and I have always hated running! This is something of a minor disadvantage to a marathon runner - but I wanted to give something back to a charity that had helped me through a very difficult time in my life. I thought it would be a good test of my commitment to try and do the training on my own. That lasted about two weeks (i.e. I didn't do anything!) and then Jo came to the rescue, highly recommended by another trainer.

Joanne gently got me up to speed, gave me tips about nutrition, what shoes to wear and how to deal with all the niggles and aches that go with running. She devised a personal training programme for me, tailored to my work and travel commitments and my rather slow pace. She always managed to be energetic, enthusiastic and encouraging whatever the weather or my mood! She kept me amused during our training sessions, knew when to push but also when to hold back. When things went wrong (which they inevitably do - colds, snow and niggles), she would be very positive and carefully rebuild my belief that I could do this. As the race drew nearer, she gave me many tips on what to expect and how to get through the day. Looking back I thoroughly enjoyed the day. It is a tremendous achievement for anyone, but I certainly couldn't have done it without her. Joanne Busvine - Chief Operating Officer, Jasper Capital

Personal message
After years of keeping myself fit and helping friends to achieve their health and fitness goals I decided that I no-longer wanted to just enjoy sport as a hobby, but to make a career and lifestyle out of it. I initially trained with Premier, the UK's leading health and fitness training provider where I learned about different techniques, detailed nutritional requirements and the benefits of sports massage both as a relaxation tool and to aid athletic performance, injury prevention and recovery. Over time I have learnt new skills and specialise in: running & triathlon; pre & post-natal; fat loss & tone; ski, snowboard & adventure holiday preparation. To help clients achieve their goals in a fun and varied way I use a mix of techniques including boxing, kettlebells, pilates & yoga. Having fun while achieving your goals is my main philosophy. Programmes need to be effective to help you reach each new step, but if you enjoy every session, you are more likely to stick to the programme long term and become a fitter, healthier, happier... you!
