UK Exercise Referal Forum Tour

- 21st of February 2009

The much-acclaimed UK Exercise Referral Forum from WRIGHT Foundation Research is going on tour following its successful launch at Leisure Industry Week (LIW).

Targeting both medical and fitness professionals, the Forum will see recognised speakers presenting case studies and examples of best practice to demonstrate the effectiveness of exercise referral in public leisure centres and private health clubs across the UK.

It will also include information on new level 4 qualifications in conditions such as Cardiac Rehab Phase IV, Pulmonary Rehab, Mental Health, Obesity & Diabetes and Chronic Lower Back pain.

WRIGHT Foundation Research is a registered charity dedicated to the advancement and development of the relationship between chronic medical conditions, their prevention and rehabilitation through activity and exercise. It will be taking the Forum across the UK to the cities of Edinburgh, Durham, Belfast, Manchester and London making it easier for industry professionals to obtain the very latest information on exercise referral.

The new-look Forum will feature a ‘Think Tank’, which allows every delegate to give their views on the future of exercise referral to a panel. This panel will include the setters of the national exercise referral standard, Skills Active and REPS, as well as others actively involved in the operational aspects of exercise referral.

“The Think Tank is an exciting addition to the Forum and all the information gathered from these events across the UK will be analysed before being presented at LIW 2009,” says Murdo Wallace, Chairman and Founder of WRIGHT Foundation Research.
