Weight loss the easy way

Many people feel they can not lose weight without drastic dieting. However, the fact of the matter is, is that you can probably eat what you like and still have the ability to lose weight!

This may sound like a great revelation, but it isn't. All it means is that your understand the concept of self-control and rewarding oneself.

Do I need to lose weight?

But first, ask yourself "Do I need to lose weight?" We can be our own worst critics. You may feel fatter than you actually are. So before we go any further let me suggest that you use your body mass index and body shape calculators.

The problem will low-calorie diets

Far too many people associate the words "dieting" and "weight loss" with images of low calorie meals and periods of virtual starvation.

There in lies a problem. Low-cal diets may work as a very short term option, but who wants to go through life eating like a hamster and tasting food that is less than palatable?

Starving the body

During low calorie diet the body actual begins to store more body fat by slowing down the metabolic system - the primary energy burner.

Eat what you like!

By occasionally eating what your palette desires (e.g. ice-cream and chocolate etc) you won't feel like you are depriving yourself of the foods you love. In the long run this means that you're less likely to binge eat.

Changing old habits

Aim to cut out unnecessary fats from your diet and you can have the occasional treat, safe in the knowledge that it will not harm you ultimate goal.
