If you are looking to embark on a career as a fitness instructor and gain your qualification quickly this is the course for you. In only 3 weeks you will learn how to induct clients around the gym as well as gain the skills to plan and supervise their workouts, not only this but you will gain a valuable First Aid qualification too!

This intensive course is ideal for those who have been out of education for a while or who prefer the classroom style of learning. With unlimited tutor access passing this course will be a breeze.

Many clubs require their fitness instructing staff to have the ability to teach exercise classes such as spinning or circuits so for a more rounded course you should consider the Professional Fitness Instructor Course. This would give you additional CPD units such as Group Studio Cycling, Core Stability or Circuits Solutions.

If you already have work experience in a gym or have a qualification that is not nationally recognised, you may be more suited to our Fast Track Fitness Instructor course.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this award, although we recommend that you have used a gym prior to commencing the course.

Assessment and certification

The award is assessed against the National Standards for Exercise and Fitness. Students will be required to sit a theory paper as well as completing a practical gym assessment. Successful completion will achieve the Lifetime Fitness Instructor Award and entry to REPs at level 2. You will also gain a nationally recognised First Aid qualification.
