Meaning "small rounded (muscle)", the teres minor is a petite muscle which composes the muscle group commonly referred to as the "rotator cuff". This muscle is involved in some movements of the shoulder joint and in its stability.
The rotator cuff should be trained and strengthened to ensure the shoulder joint remains strong and healthy, especially for the bodybuilder, fitness trainer, or strength athlete who commonly use the shoulder joint.
