Hilary Duff workout, diet & weight loss

Hilary Duff is a movie actress who has appeared in the lead roles in Lizzie McGuire, Material Girls and The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

Amazingly, even Hilary Duff has had issues with her body. As a person in the spotlight Hilary Duff has had to contend with constant media speculation about her diet, weight and body shape - with the media suggesting she was too big!

Hilary Duff's diet and weight loss in the media

Not too long ago Hilary became so obessed that she dramatically lost weight on a strict protein and vegetable diet, which only served to fed the media's thirst for gossip even more.  Hilary Duff took a philosophical view, being quoted as saying "Well you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Thankfully Hilary Duff seems more content with her more natural looking body shape. And who can blame her?

Hilary Duff workout & diet

Hilary Duff is a former gymnast who responds very quickly to resistance training. As a result Ms duff tends to stay away from the weights room but finds that Pilates allows her to work and strengthen her muscles to gain the long, lean muscle tone she is looking for. Hilary Duff works with Viveca Jensen of LA’s V Pilates.

Within her Pilates sessions Hilary Duff aims to perform 20 leg exercises and 5 abs exercises.

Hilary Duff cardio workout

Hilary Duff performs cardio 3 or 4 times a week, using the elliptical trainer or treadmill. On tour she has also been known to swim laps to stay in shape.

Hilary Duff diet

No vegetarians here. Hilary Duff considers herself a big meat eater. Like other movie stars and pop stars Duff eats little and often, understanding that 3 large meals a day does little for the body's metabolism.

She eats lean meats, fish and complex carbs like potatoes, bread and pasta. She completes most meals with a wide selection of green vegetables and fresh fruit.
